Will Elmer's Glue dry this way?

I am working on a project [a personal project] and my materials are notecards, elmer's clear glue, and plastic wrap. Well I made what I wanted with the notecards and I put a little bit of the glue on one piece of plastic wrap, sat my paper on top of it, pressed down so that it would spread evenly, put more glue on top of it, put another layer of plastic wrap on top of that, and pressed down again to spread it again. But my concern is will it dry that way? If so, around how long do you think it will take to dry? Thank you for your help!
