How can I go & talk to this guy? 10pts.?

2 weeks ago my friend & I went to the the local park to watch baseball games of guys our age & I saw a guy there on a baseball team who I thought was pretty cute so my friend & I decided to watch his game together. During the game I noticed that when he was sitting in the dugout he would look over at me a lot & smile & whenever he would be coming in from outfield he would look over at my & smile & I smiled back. I wanted to talk to him but I never knew what to say so I never got to, but his team is playing this weekend & I want to talk to him. So? Anyone please help? How can I talk to him? What can I do to make a conversation & not be awkward?
