Psychology:Taking the lead- when clearly, your not a leader?

the title of "leader", seems empowering to them, they feel a great sense of pride and control in it. despite like you said taking "on more than they are ready for", and lacking the skills to lead, they still feel it's their right....the traits of a control freak. people like that, the ones i've come across...have all been people who feel like they'll never be on top again(in their lives), so they run at every opportunity to be on top. my advice is if you feel like this person is incapable of being a group leader, let that be known now. one thing worse than a bad leader, is the man who follows him.
