Pearly Penile Papules tooth paste?

I self diagnosed myself with PPP, ive had them since I was 14.. I'm 19 now. and I'm finally ready to get rid of them, I've been using colgate toothpaste and i have noticed a difference in the size of them getting smaller, but the skin under the head of my is SUPPERR dry, almost like a scab will start, how is this toothpaste supposed to work? I've used it 3 times now (not in a row) and is there a certain type of toothpaste that works better then others? am i supposed to keep it that dry?
