My dads being an ***. Help?

So, Every time my dad gets home I try to talk to him about politics and stuff. Cause you know, its an interesting subject but he is like this super conservative patriotic aficionado and I am kinda liberal. So every time I start to talk he inter ups me with " Go back to Europe you left-wing commie socialist!"and explains to me that the American taxpayers pay every day for "pot smokers" to sit on there *** and do nothing. And I'm all "no" not everybody has the same economic and social standard and he's all going Glen Beck on me and stuff so what do I do to finally end the politic war? he tells all his friends and my sister who lives in WV that I'm some crazy leftist and the all get the wrong idea and try to educate me what I should think.
